The standard sizes for the bracelets that we make are 6.5 inches for women and 7 inches for men.
Measuring your wrist accurately is important for ensuring a bracelet fits comfortably. Here are basic instructions to follow:
Materials Needed
- Flexible measuring tape (or a strip of paper and a ruler)
- Pen or marker (if using a paper strip)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Measuring Tool:
- If using a flexible measuring tape, ensure it's not twisted and lays flat.
- If using a strip of paper, cut a piece long enough to wrap around your wrist. You can use a pen or marker to mark the length.
2. Measure the Wrist:
- Positioning: Place the measuring tape or paper strip around your wrist, just below the wrist bone (where the bracelet would naturally sit).
- Snug Fit: Make sure the tape or paper strip is snug but not tight. You should be able to slide a finger underneath for a comfortable fit.
3. Reading the Measurement:
- With Measuring Tape: Note the measurement where the end meets the rest of the tape. This number is your wrist size.
- With Paper Strip: Mark the point where the strip overlaps itself. Lay the strip flat and measure the distance from the end to the mark using a ruler.
4. Add Extra Length for Comfort (Optional):
- If you prefer a looser fit, add about 1/4 to 1/2 inch (0.5 to 1 cm) to your wrist measurement.
Example
If your wrist measures 6 inches, and you want a slightly loose fit, you might order a bracelet that's 6.5 inches.
Tips
- Measure your wrist at the end of the day when it is likely to be at its largest.
- If you're between sizes, it's often better to go slightly larger for comfort.
